I don't win an award for the most hours spent meditating or adhering to rigorous spiritual protocols. Not that those endeavors are bad. They just don't have me doing the most important job of all. Which is living. Loving. Experiencing the world as a human. I can feel and taste and hear and see. Beauty. I can cry and laugh and sing and dance. All of these are specific privileges of being human.
As humans who have a finite lifespan, shouldn't we be getting to the business of living? And shouldn't that be enjoyable?
Even though I've always thought of the heart chakra as the space where we come into relationship with others, the wisdom that is opening up is much more about how to explore this energy center in relation to my own self. And I guess when we are looking at our energy bodies as a whole, the fundamental wisdom is in regard to the self. That's the only being we have any control over anyway. As I probed deeper. I noticed that my strong association of the physical benefits of yarrow was needing to expand to let the wisdom in. Then I felt tingling all over my body. This balancing energy of Se He Ki goes beautifully with the energy of yarrow. Yarrow is coming in and organizing the cells of the blood to act together for the highest good of the body...
So, let me echo the question Echinacea asks. Could you integrate your heart shield? In such a way that it becomes part of you. That you are admired because you wear it so unapologetically. That it becomes sacred adornment. Could you construct it in such a way that the right ones could still have access to you? When you are ready, Echinacea can help.
"I don't need to curl up, wither, or hide in order to protect myself. I have a proper shield in place. The ones who can live in harmony with me, not taking too much are free to come in to take what I offer. The ones who would come in too fast, or try to take more than I am offering will learn quickly. That has a prickly outcome.
I show care and respect. And so should listen when she says, take all you need. The lesson was clear. Abundance can exist at the very same time as mindful stewardship. Over the past year of working intensively with the spirit of Marigold, she has been changing the settings of my first chakra. Redefining my relationship to abundance.
